Change Is Possible

Our owner, Heather Huiting is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist. She earned her Master of Social Work degree in 2004 from ASU and has been helping clients make positive changes in their lives for over 15 years. Notes from Heather: I’m committed to helping my clients learn how to build healthier relationships with themselves and others. My work focuses on helping you to understand both how you got here, and where you are going. I believe in developing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship which ensures clients reach their goals. I’m passionate about helping clients set boundaries, improve communication skills and relationships, and better manage their mental health symptoms using an eclectic approach including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other modalities. ********************************************************************************************** We are pleased to announce the addition of therapist, Sandra Naylor, LMSW. Sandra is available to provide individual counseling services to clients via telehealth. Her main specialty is older adults, and also has experience working with teens and adults. Notes from Sandra: My approach to therapy is warm and open while also being direct and honest. I'm not here to judge you or tell you what to do. I will work to help you better understand yourself. I have developed my clinical skills within diverse settings including community-based mental health programs, correctional health services, inpatient geriatric psychiatric hospital and private practice. I utilize evidence-based interventions in my work with clients. My interventions are largely cognitive behavioral, however, I am also influenced by psychodynamic and person-centered therapy styles. I find it a privilege to work with geriatric clients, working with older individuals and their families is personally and professionally rewarding to me. I also help teens navigate difficult life transitions addressing issues such as depression and anxiety related to social media, peer pressure and bullying. However, working with your teen requires you to recognize your role as their parent. I encourage parent(s) to be willing to work to gain insight and grow as well. Counseling adults on an individual basis allows for a deeper understanding of the issues and more time for developing coping strategies and that will help you develop problem-solving skills to handle difficult situations. I return every phone call and email message I receive. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me to schedule a phone consult. I look forward to hearing from you.
